Amenities

Bellemount Stables LLC is located at the historic Bellemount Farm in Beaverdam, Virginia. Once an antebellum plantation circa 1810, Bellemount is now an 80-acre working horse farm comprised of rolling pastures and woods. 

 

Bellemount offers many amenities to the horse enthusiast. Two large stables are available for boarding. The horse stable consists of twelve 12’x12’ matted stalls with a 14 foot aisle. Amenities in this stable include a 12’x12’ wash stall and a 12’x12’ feed room.  Also, there is a lounge, office, bathroom, and 12’x20’ tack room all equipped with heating and air conditioning. The pony stable consists of five 12’x12’ matted stalls and one 12’ x 24’ matted stall with a 12 foot aisle. This barn also includes a 12’x20’ tack room and a 12’x12’ feed room.   

 

Two riding arenas are available during all seasons. The large outdoor sand arena is 280’x160’ with a complete jump course. The smaller outdoor grass arena is 145’x80’ and is suitable for flatwork and is useful for the beginner rider and/or green horse. There is a large open pasture and several wooded trails for those that enjoy riding outside of the arenas.

Levels

Full Care Board
This type of board includes daily turnout, am/pm feeding, blanketing, and stall cleaning. Hay is included in this fee.   

 

Self Care Board
This type of board includes access to a stall and field. Hay is included. All other care is provided by horse’s owner, not by Bellemount Stables LLC. 

 

Field Board
This type of board includes access to large, lush pastures with large run-in sheds and/or access to overhangs for protection from the elements. It also includes blanketing and hay as needed. 

 

All levels of board include access to sand and grass arenas, wooded trails, and open pasture for riding. Wash stall, lounge, feed rooms, tack rooms and bathroom are also accessible to all boarders.  Horses in pastures are provided salt and/or mineral blocks. A small salt block holder is provided in each stall. Owners may choose to provide individual salt blocks in their horse’s stall.
