Meet Trainer
Erin Culpepper
Bellemount’s lead instructor Erin Oliff Culpepper, M.Ed. successfully combines her love of teaching and love of horses. Erin grew up riding and competing in the Capital Horse Show Association, Virginia Horse Show Association and American Horse Show Association, bringing home many championships and year end awards, including the Virginia Pony Breeders Association High Point Pony Award.
Erin rode on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team for the College of William and Mary, where she graduated in 2000 with a degree in English and a certification in Elementary Education. She then attended the University of Virginia where she graduated in 2002 with a Master’s degree in Special Education with endorsements in Early Childhood and Learning Disabilities.
Today, Erin’s students compete successfully at the local, state, and national level, consistently winning division championships and year end awards. Erin helps her riders reach their goals by creating individualized lesson plans, focusing on correct equitation and effective communication with their horses. Erin is a certified therapeutic instructor with PATH International as well.
Some of our Offerings
Bellemount Stables LLC is a full-service hunter-jumper barn. We offer a year round lesson program for riders of all ages. Bellemount also has an IEA Team that competes in Zone 3 Region 5 and works with riders from fourth grade through twelfth grade. As well as a team for the newly added IEA Adult Pilot Program ages 21+.
